Langkawi Mangrove And Cave Explorations

Take a trip to Langkawi’s Secret Garden, a memorable journey to visit a mangrove swamp. The excursion allows you to observe the ecology of the area and the surrounding environment and is a good way to gain insight into Langkawi’s lush natural ecology.

1000 hrs - 1400 hrs (4 hours)

Depart from hotel to Tanjung Rhu Boat Jetty
Located on the eastern coast of Tanjung Rhu. Located near the Tanjung Rhu Resort, it is where you find a pier with fishing boats which can be rented for a boat ride around the islands.

Experience with the Mangrove River Livelihood
You may see the mangroves of Langkawi with a taste of adventure and some exercise. Have a good close up to the ecology of the mangroves while riding a boat through a smaller area in the mangrove jungle away from the larger rivers.

Eagle Feeding
One of the most popular activities in Kilim Nature Park. The reddish brown eagles (also known as Brahminy Kites) are the most common type of eagles that you will find here. It is a spectacular sight where a large number of eagles circle the sky and dive into the river to catch their food.

Bat Cave
located on the Kilim river. There are over 1000 bats that roost at the Bat Cave. As you enter the section of the cave with high ceiling (some 10 meters head clearance), you will get a feel that there are lot many living creatures inside. You won’t see them but you point the flashlight towards the ceiling some black bats will fly right over your head and make screeching sound. Don't worry they are harmless.

Fish Farm
An area of pontoon walkways with manmade cages filled with various kinds of fishes. You get to look at the fishes from afar, you also got some hands on time with a few of the fishes. Apart from learning about fishes at the farm, there is also a restaurant where you can have lunch here. (Inclusive of fried rice)
