Depart from hotel to Tanjung Rhu Boat Jetty
Located
on the eastern coast of Tanjung Rhu. Located near the Tanjung Rhu Resort, it is
where you find a pier with fishing boats which can be rented for a boat ride
around the islands.
Experience with the Mangrove River Livelihood
You
may see the mangroves of Langkawi with a taste of adventure and some exercise.
Have a good close up to the ecology of the mangroves while riding a boat through
a smaller area in the mangrove jungle away from the larger rivers.
Eagle Feeding
One
of the most popular activities in Kilim Nature Park. The reddish brown eagles
(also known as Brahminy Kites) are the most common type of eagles that you will
find here. It is a spectacular sight where a large number
of eagles circle the sky and dive into the river to catch their food.
Bat Cave
located
on the Kilim river. There are over 1000 bats that roost at the Bat
Cave. As you enter the section of the cave with high ceiling (some 10 meters
head clearance), you will get a feel that there are lot many living creatures
inside. You won’t see them but you point the flashlight towards the ceiling
some black bats will fly right over your head and make screeching sound. Don't
worry they are harmless.
Fish Farm
An
area of pontoon walkways with manmade cages filled with various kinds of
fishes. You get to look at the fishes from afar, you also got some hands on
time with a few of the fishes. Apart from learning about fishes at the farm,
there is also a restaurant where you can have lunch here. (Inclusive of fried
rice)
